It was something of an indifferent week in Corrie where we focussed on stories that either aren’t all that interesting, or ones that we thought had been dealt with, or startling developments emerged in others that snipped through our suspension of disbelief. Robert manages to get yet more lies out of this Young Offenders tall tale but looks like he’s met his match in Irish Jed, plus Craig’s fortunate positioning in the street at vital times makes it look like Robert’s web may be about to collapse. A reasonably tanned David manages to figure out why Mad Max is behaving in the way he is and gives Shona a way into the kid's good books, but is it going to be enough? Emma shows far more interest in getting to know Amy, leaving Steve to fall asleep at the switch and have filthy dreams about Fat Brenda. Gary is getting fed up with Derek’s unprofessionalism and Ryan’s taking the piss, but a moment of exaggerated frustration with Derek in the Rover’s toilets might just give Adam cause for concern. Hope and Fizz are back in town, earlier than expected, and Tyrone gets the feeling that he may have overlooked something; did he switch the iron off, did he remember to lock the front door, did he fill in that important form to make sure Hope gets an education? Evelyn has an interesting idea that may get Ty out of this hole or wind up with him further deeper into it. Elsewhere, Asha understandably doesn’t want to share a bedroom with her recently returned abandoned brother which will cause Mary accommodation issues, Eileen and Seb’s happiness may well be usurped by a character who surely must have been remanded in custody, and Tim’s Dad may have some serious medical issues and we can only pray that he does.
