Imran tempts fate by nipping to the office ahead of Alfie’s Naming Ceremony as Elliot prepares to make strong allegations. It’s a big week for Max as he discovers his fate from the judge for spiking Amy’s drink and learns which school he’ll be attending after being expelled from Weathy High. Daniel is encouraged to apply for the permanent teaching role at school but issues with his family weigh heavy on his mind. Jacob’s personal hygiene issues give Eileen the fright of her life. Tim wins a romantic couple’s overnight getaway at one of Debbie’s hotels and orders some medicinal enhancement for the occasion. Gail likes Carry on Screaming. The Edinburgh Trip was a success. Amy is relieved to learn that Max has survived his leg surgery as this means she can get justice. Homeless Stu forgets to order food for Speed Daal’s Eid celebrations and takes drastic measures to put things right. Faye finally receives the results of her test following her phantom pregnancy but everyone seems more concerned about Craig’s reaction. On her first proper day, Aggie fails to make a good impression with Mr Thorne but discovers some unsettling information about Peter’s liver transplant. The Undertaker’s mistake rate goes through the roof as his self-imposed sleep deprivation starts to take its toll. Kirk dreams up a noisy way to incentivize the knicker factory’s sales team. Abi goes to extreme lengths in an attempt to talk Toyah out of marrying Imran. Ken writes a song. Steve does Platoon. Gail knows what she’s talking about.

Eileen remains suspicious of The Undertaker so she goes to his house to find evidence of a cat or another woman. Tim continues to ignore Sally’s concerns about his lack of bedroom enthusiasm. Jacob starts his new job at the factory but thanks to an outburst from Simon, he finds it difficult to win over his new workmates. Toyah is disappointed to learn that Leanne thinks her relationship with Imran is for the convenience of Alfie's custody. Aggie is transferred to a new department at the hospital and is nervous about meeting her new boss who has a reputation for being a stickler for the rules. Alya and Yasmeen build bridges as they make plans for a charitable event for Eid. Following a shocking incident at school, Daniel threatens to come clean to Amy about Max spiking her drink. Summer is arrested for being diabetic and the story of her eating disorder is finally revealed. After reflection, Abi offers a truce to Imran and Toyah who are hell-bent to prove she’s back on the muck. As work on Rick the Chin’s house is started, Ed and Paul find a bag full of lovely cash stashed under the floorboards. Eileen and The Undertaker are back together on the show which means there must be a misunderstanding to threaten their relationship. Sally gets back from Gina’s again and is more determined than ever to get rid of Tim’s Mum. Daisy decides that the best way to protect her relationship with Daniel is to set Nicky up with one of her friends. Mr Little has some explaining to do. Simon is a grass. Ahead of planning the funerals of both her parents, Kelly gets a call to let her know she’s due to inherit a small fortune from Rick the Chin’s estate. Daisy isn’t looking for things to worry about as Daniel and Nicky are thrown together to organize a school trip to Edinburgh, while a recently single Mrs Crawshaw is on the prowl. Sam finds himself discombobulated when Jalena comes over to Nina’s Rolls for a chess date. Sarah decides to throw the cat amongst the pigeons by offering a bonus to the sales rep who brings in the most new business, but while Faye and Michael compete, they take their eyes off an unlikely champion. Summer’s lengthy revision sessions worry Billy and he calls on assistance from Amy who makes a troubling discovery. Faye and Craig decide to try to have another baby and then change their minds. Imran suspects that Abi is back on the muck so makes a shocking proposal to Toyah regarding the long-term care for Alfie. Roy buys cider. Tommy can belch the alphabet. With his move to Australia coming up, Jon finally discovers the truth about his grandad’s death. Toyah decides to try and adopt Elsie on her own while Imran’s entire life begins to unravel. Roy convinces Nick that allowing Sam to continue playing chess may be a perfectly acceptable way for him to deal with his grief. Tyrone tries to put on a brave face as Fiz leaves the street to begin a new life in a fancy new house with Phill. Everyone wants to give Summer their opinion on her drinking exploits from the previous week. Daisy and Daniel’s cohabiting bliss is threatened when Nicky arrives with new of a job offer at Weathy High. Despite Gary and Maria’s repeated attempts, Kelly refuses to visit her rapidly declining mother in hospital. Tim’s Mum still hasn’t left. Steve demands identification. Shirley Bassey sues.

April 1, 2022 - Roy Likes Trains

Gary struggles to come to terms with Laura’s fake confession and tries to convince Kelly to make amends with her dying mother. Tim’s Mum continues to be a barrier to prevent Sally and Tim from having their way with each other and it proves more difficult than anticipated to get rid of her. Phill receives some bad news about his job, which pushes Fiz to insist that the house is sold as quickly as possible to free up that delicious equity. Faye hides her pregnancy from Emma while Emma hides her new relationship from Faye. Summer is throwing herself into her studies, which causes Billy, Todd, and her friends to become concerned that she’s not looking after her health. Nick has exciting, non-chess-related news for Sam when he books him into an Easter Space Camp in Manchester. With Abi’s custody hearing coming up, Imran finds it harder to separate his life and plans with Toyah from his new life with his son. Maria is badass. PC Tinker rides again. In breach of his bail conditions, Adam tricks Lydia into meeting him at the mall where he intends to trick her into a confession, but she has other ideas. Steve continues to jeopardize his relationship with his daughter, and her future, by throwing a series of spanners into any plans she has for independence with Jacob. Faye’s allergies to a flea-ridden Peanut temporarily mask a more biological reason for her feeling sick in the mornings. Sally’s home from Gina’s to find Tim randy as all get-out and his mother more determined than ever to play a blocking role in him doing anything about it. In the midst of council elections, Maria learns that Weathy County’s training ground is being moved to a location that may disturb one of Gary’s long-held secrets. Daniel can’t look up.
