After minor complications, Kelly is easing back into life at the Rose Gold Flat, but then Laura turns up with a claim that threatens to unsettle everyone again. Daniel’s conscience begins to get the better of him as the school’s decision about Max’s future looms. Fallout from Asha’s decision to skip the University Open Day in Glasgow forces her and Nina to assess the effect Nina’s mental state may be having on their relationship. February 4, 2022 - A Little Tinkle

Bent copper Craig turns plumber and crime scene cleaner as he attempts to cover Faye and Emma’s tracks and keep Dead Ted’s pesky grandson off the scent. Sally and Tim’s Mum compete to be Tim’s top carer, with the latter producing a bell so she can be at his beck and call. Hope’s involvement in Joseph’s disappearance generates very different reactions and solutions from Fiz and the other members of the family. With her sights set on a Risk Management course, Asha has plans to attend university in Glasgow but worries about the distance and the strain that will put on Nina’s fragile emotional state. Kelly can’t do right for doing wrong as an accident during Liam’s French homework and an overheard conversation once again has her questioning her place on the street. Family and neighbours’ worries grow about Audrey and the perception of her drinking problem. Tensions rise between Daniel and Max as David’s personal ghosts are accidentally revisited. Jenny frets about the age difference between her and Sinkhole Leo and has plans to call the whole thing off until she learns that he’s been rushed to hospital after a rugby injury. Tim is cornered in hospital by people he kept in the dark about his illness, while Sally’s vandalism of a vending machine highlights some unwanted publicity in the Weathy Gazette. Bernie and Dev do the real-life equivalent of updating their relationship status, but Evelyn becomes suspicious when she hears Bernie's claims of a pay rise, and then learns of the presence of crisp wrappers in Fiz’s attic. Lydia is ready to dump Daniel after a number of red flags start waving but finds that he has some supporters in unexpected places. With Craig’s forensic report due any minute, Emma and Faye fret that their involvement in Ted’s death will soon be uncovered by Weatherfield’s very own Sherlock Holmes. Finn’s verruca requires extended medical care. Tim’s Mum disapproves of party horns. Joseph’s video game is rubbish.

January 21, 2022 - Craig Bakes Bread

Even with Joseph home, Chesney and Gemma’s woes continue while Bernie stumbles upon a potential solution to their problems. Amy is inspired to take action on Summer’s upskirt incident and gets creative with a tin of spray paint and a school wall. Yasmeen remains unmoved by apologies from Alya and Zeedan and calls on some agency staff to help Homeless Stu cope with Speed Daal's legendary lunchtime rush. Craig busies himself while he’s stuck at home by spying on his friends and neighbours, and driving his flatmates mad. Sinkhole Leo gets tickets for a gig and introduces Jenny to his awful housemates, which makes Jenny worry about the age difference. Tim still can’t find the right moment to tell Sally about his health issues, while her imagination runs riot and takes drastic measures to keep tabs on her husband’s whereabouts. Peter’s t-shirt has a 2 on it. Bryn hasn’t seen Carys’s trousers. Hope invests in sweeties.

January 14, 2022 - Catching Feelings

The truth about Hashim’s death weighs heavy on Alya, putting Zeedan’s rekindled relationship with his wife in jeopardy. Tim just can’t find the right moment to tell Sally about his health issues while he continues to confide in Aggie. Emma is shocked when Tyrone volunteers Dead Ted’s crutch to an injured Craig, who becomes intrigued about its history and its previous owner. Summer finally gets news of Oxford’s decision but her attention is soon diverted when Amy discovers yet another disturbing side to New Max. Cathy and Brian are off on holiday and rope Shona in to helping at the Kabin. Joseph is feeling very alone and unheard at home, and bullied at school, and a broken promise is enough to make him snap and take drastic action. No one cares about Ryan’s birthday. Abi and Imran do their best to be inconspicuous to their significant others as they meet to discuss the possibility that they may have gone halfers on a baby. A hungover New Year’s Day driving lesson spells trouble for Emma and Faye and a poor old man just trying to get home with his ginger nuts. Sam discovers a new interest as he learns chess from Mary and Roy, while Nick helicopters nearby at all times. Adam’s boundary dispute case sets wheels in motion that result in Lydia turning up drunk to a meeting and Sarah going back on the pill. During renovations of Speed Daal, Zeedan and Marrium discover that a spark still exists between them. Tim’s health kick takes him to an appointment with Dr Gaddas and a shocking discovery that threatens his relationship with Sally. Shona has space on her speed dial. Peter vapes. Hope definitely put gum in Chloe’s hair.

December 31, 2021 - Eccles’ Old Frisbee

It’s a Christmas miracle as a beloved stranger from faraway lands reunites with a loved one on the street. A tentative Sam finds his voice on Hope’s walkie-talkie but Nick risks undoing this progress by making a big deal out of it. Nina opens up to Asha about the struggles she’s been having with her anxiety. Eileen discovers that The Undertaker took suggestions from an old foe regarding her unwanted Christmas gift. After some inflatable Christmas shenanigans, Tyrone learns that Fiz and Phill’s relationship is far more serious than he’d previously thought. Sinkhole Leo returns to the street and with no obvious sinkholes requiring his attention, Jenny is forced to admit to herself that he may be shining a torch for her. Sarah is finding it difficult to put Adam’s past flings behind her while he struggles to comprehend why she’s so upset. Faye’s determined to learn how to drive and ropes Emma into giving her lessons, which eventually leads to a visit to the Weathy General and a chance encounter with Curtis. Abi’s reunion with The Twins™ brings her short-term joy when she discovers the ease at which Kelly has settled in to life on the street. Ken’s bells are surplus to requirements. Ed ruins Die Hard. December 24, 2021 - Grumpy Santa

Emma’s wedding day is finally here, but the groom and the father of the bride have gone missing and no one knows why Audrey’s there. Abi is outraged at seeing Kelly living and working within a mile of her front door but cheers herself up with a visit to the Random Christmas Tat shop. It’s all beginning to get too much for Nina who is triggered into a panic attack when Asha is almost involved in a very low-key road traffic accident. Sarah is determined to gather the Platts and the Barlows for Christmas but relations are already icy before Max gets creative with Daniel’s choir lyrics. Lydia reads books. Seb has gifts from beyond the grave. Craig needs to get back to work.

December 17, 2021 - Designated Liver

Sally’s dismissive approach to Maria’s political ambitions comes back to bite her. The stress of the situation with Daniel manifests itself as the makings of an eating disorder for Summer who hastily regrets ordering the dirty burger at the Bistro. Zeedan feels like he’s on easy street as it appears the insurance is going to blame Dead Hashim for the Speed Daal fire and payout in full when a figure from his past arrives unannounced. Sarah thinks it’s bad enough that Adam put it around a bit when he was at uni and her mood does not improve when she learns that her new BFF, Lydia, also studied at Edinburgh. Yet another road traffic accident forces Audrey to get her eyes tested while David’s homeschooling of Max frustrates everyone. A coughing Homeless Stu is rumbled at Trim Up North so Kelly is determined to find someone else who can help him get well. Emma is shocked to discover that Curtis has forgotten to take his meds with him to the Three Peak Challenge, which leads her to make an even more shocking extra discovery.
