Emma and Curtis’s wedding plans come together while his specialist appointment shines a somewhat expected light on the true nature of his condition. Kelly does a helpful turn for a good friend and lands a job sweeping up hair at the barber’s thanks to Maria and Gary. Fiz meets Phill’s mum, Mimi, and her aggressive wee dog and there’s instant tension when it comes to Phill’s birthday arrangements. Zeedan’s woeful attempts at laundering his way out of debt attract the attention of Ryan, which turns out to be the least of his troubles. Nina phones South America. Residents are still blimmin furious about Max and his hilariously awful video until Daniel gets a look at it and decides Max has talent, apparently. DS Fringe is in no mood to drop the small matter of Natasha’s murder, and puts pressure on Abi with regards to Tez’s gun, which puts further pressure on Roy and his battle with his conscience. Despite Craig’s best efforts to prevent Faye from returning to work, she goes back to the Bistro, forgetting it was the scene of her assault on Adam. Sam is still mute and while Nick frets about permanent damage to his son’s underused vocal chords, and Leanne urges patience, The Undertaker does something about it with a lovely act of kindness and understanding. Sally and Maria get their heads together and start to make plans for the no doubt disastrous Christmas Market idea. Zeedan is still really bad at laundering money for his ex-father-in-law, and once again a clandestine meeting with Hasmim is overheard by Ryan. Aggie is starting to feel taken advantage of as her babysitting duties appear to escalate. Homeless Kelly is spotted living rough by Billy who manages to encourage Imran to up his search efforts. Daisy pretends to be Sinead. Carla forgets she’s married. Kirk just wants the sausage.

A combination of bad luck and bad decisions sends Kelly out of the frying pan that is prison, and into the fire of the Weatherfield streets. Fiz insists she’s not jelly of Tyrone and his upcoming date with Isla, maintaining that all of Hope’s future friendships hang in the balance. The day of Johnny’s funeral has arrived and with it comes the revelation that his will makes no mention of Kate, which is fine because she couldn’t be bothered to turn up, or Michelle, which is also fine. The Wheels of Justice in Weatherfield, which can grind as slowly as evolution when they need to, get a kick up the backside when Tim remembers that Faye is still in prison and is still sort of innocent. Roy continues to worry that his actions during Horror Nation Street may have indirectly led to Natasha’s death. Summer continues to help Max with his studies and he reveals that he’s been working on a film he is keen to show her. Leanne urges patience. Jenny ain’t sayin Daisy is a gold digger. Fiz’s spare pants drawer is squeaky.

Natasha’s funeral arrives and Sam is still mute, but he puts his emotions into words by writing a eulogy for his mum. James gets wind from Ronnie that Danny has been offered a fancy chef job in That London and does his best to encourage his boyfriend to follow his goals. It’s Monday on Coronation Street which means that Abi must be involved in something secretive, and with Debbie’s added involvement surely anything is possible. Tyrone’s nose is put out of joint as Phil With Two Ls stretches his legs out under the table at Number 9 and even Kirk admits that Fiz’s new flame is a top bloke. Carla’s confusion over the date of an order gives the knicker people two days to get underpants to Milwaukee, WI. Dev takes charge of a new car with a smashing big boot as Aadi’s simmering hostility towards his father threatens to overflow. Simon, Nick, and Leanne take turns talking to a door. PC Tinker invents crimes to investigate. Daniel sings.

The future of the Red Rec is in the balance as new bypass plans threaten to demolish it, which spurs Maria into activist action after seeing Liam from Emmerdale do a funny dance. Emma continues to have concerns for Curtis as the exertion of pushing Steve's car along a cobbled street is enough to send him back to the hospital, clutching his chest. Ryan is thrilled to get his waiter's job back at Speed Daal and wastes no time grassing up Zeedan after overhearing his conversation with Hashim. Debbie's plans to launch special private dining nights inspire Danny to put his creative chef's hat on and he rustles up a menu that attracts the attention of a restauranteur friend of Ronnie's from That London. Poor Sam hasn't spoken a word since seeing his mum's corpse in a basket and a worried Nick seeks the same advice from all and sundry. Abi's future with Kev is thrown into doubt, while forensics come back on ITV Corey's missing backpack. Daniel responds to Dan. Ryan forgets who has coffee. Chris the Journalist is going to need a better angle than that.

In the aftermath of Horror Nation Street, David tries to keep the lid on how his sinkhole was probably the sinkhole responsible for all the other sinkholes and, by extension, Johnny’s death. For reasons not entirely understood or palatable, we have to send Natasha off to the Big Hair Salon in That London in the Sky, as Nick worries about Sam’s, and his, ability to cope. Dev is determined to overcompensate for leaving Aadi for dead in a burning car so makes him assistant manager to his empire, a position that seems to make Aadi even more resentful. The mystery of the missing Weathy County rucksack is finally resolved to a non-disco-dancing homeless gentleman named Stu, which gets Nina and Asha working closely to do some hardcore detective work. Emma tries to talk Steve into funding research into Curtis’s hair loss with money raised for Oliver. Ryan overhears Zeedan conducting some shady business in the Alleyway of Doom. A missing gun and missing note cause separate but equally important issues for Abi who is trying to organize her wedding at last. Hashim walks into a cameraman. Steve finishes his crossword. Daisy’s not for sharing her pain au chocolat.

A storm is brewing over Weatherfield. Abi and her gun make plans for sweet sweet revenge on ITV Corey whose bragging on Insta about having the house to himself isn’t going to do him any favors. In jail, Harvey breaks some of his own bones in an attempt to abscond on the way to hospital. The Alahans are off on holiday in the middle of a downpour and a distracted Dev accidentally flattens the car tyres, leaving them sitting ducks at the side of the road. It’s sinkhole-ago-go as characters left and right drop into the Weatherfield sewers, leaving Leo and Johnny to come up with a plan to rescue Jenny. It’s going to take more than that to scare Amy and Summer. Roy doesn’t know his own strength. Imran will be back.

Abi returns to Weatherfield and she isn’t just pleased to see Kev, that really is a gun in her pocket as she plots revenge. Zeedan quickly has to come to terms with what’s involved in laundering money but discovers that Yasmeen is reluctant to hand over the books to him quite that easily. After Dev develops an interest in Natasha, Bernie provides him some unwanted assistance that blows any immediate chance he has with either woman. A handily-placed card on a bunch of flowers finally spells out that Sinkhole Leo’s true intentions are not towards Daisy, rather he has his sights set on Jenny instead. James and Michael find that the ordering of a baked potato at Roy’s can be more challenging and bizarre than they could’ve imagined. Foiled by Rita in his attempts to get info on Sharon, Imran decides that he can no longer live a lie and comes clean to Toyah about his recent betrayal. Navid’s shingles have cleared up. Craig disappears into a hedge. Elsie smiles.

After a somewhat unsuccessful poster campaign, Nina is surprised to learn that Chris the Journalist is reluctant to print a story about ITV Corey being a murderer. Sabeen manages to get Imran to bend to her will which unfortunately seems to involve inviting Simon round for tea. James gets an interesting letter from the police and then goes on to give thought to his career after Weathy County. Sally gets encouraging news from the council about her parking proposal and finds an unusual ally who gets between Tim and his curry. Summer’s stress about her personal statement overflows as she resorts to unethical means to impress. With Daniel unwittingly playing hard to get with Daisy, Jenny goes out of her way to cheer her up with the bloke who gets paid to plug sinkholes. Zeedan comes up with an idea to drum up business but his lips are loose on the matter when he bumps into Debbie. The homeless are fussy about curries. Kev doesn’t have a photo of Abi. PC Racism has a good hard think about what he’s done.

The fallout from Daniel’s wallet theft forces David to go down the path of family allegiances, which has unfortunate and predictable consequences. Nina tries to put events behind her and move on with her life by applying to fashion college, but ITV Corey’s promotion to the Weathy County first-team keeps dragging her back. Audrey is still hurting from Rita’s perceived betrayal last week so Gail arranges for a family get-together to belatedly celebrate her birthday and nothing could possibly go wrong. Grace’s insistence on her snag list being attended to is beginning to wear down Ed, which forces the Bailey’s to turn to a somewhat obvious source for a solution. Sally remembers that the Parking Regulation Campaign is still a thing and begins harassing legally parked council members. Kelly is due to be sentenced for Seb’s murder while Imran’s lies from Verdict Week begin to come home to roost. Mrs Crawshaw will sort everything out. Kev taps into his inner Bruce Lee. Everyone ignores Aggie.
