Ahead of planning the funerals of both her parents, Kelly gets a call to let her know she’s due to inherit a small fortune from Rick the Chin’s estate. Daisy isn’t looking for things to worry about as Daniel and Nicky are thrown together to organize a school trip to Edinburgh, while a recently single Mrs Crawshaw is on the prowl. Sam finds himself discombobulated when Jalena comes over to Nina’s Rolls for a chess date. Sarah decides to throw the cat amongst the pigeons by offering a bonus to the sales rep who brings in the most new business, but while Faye and Michael compete, they take their eyes off an unlikely champion. Summer’s lengthy revision sessions worry Billy and he calls on assistance from Amy who makes a troubling discovery. Faye and Craig decide to try to have another baby and then change their minds. Imran suspects that Abi is back on the muck so makes a shocking proposal to Toyah regarding the long-term care for Alfie. Roy buys cider. Tommy can belch the alphabet. With his move to Australia coming up, Jon finally discovers the truth about his grandad’s death. Toyah decides to try and adopt Elsie on her own while Imran’s entire life begins to unravel. Roy convinces Nick that allowing Sam to continue playing chess may be a perfectly acceptable way for him to deal with his grief. Tyrone tries to put on a brave face as Fiz leaves the street to begin a new life in a fancy new house with Phill. Everyone wants to give Summer their opinion on her drinking exploits from the previous week. Daisy and Daniel’s cohabiting bliss is threatened when Nicky arrives with new of a job offer at Weathy High. Despite Gary and Maria’s repeated attempts, Kelly refuses to visit her rapidly declining mother in hospital. Tim’s Mum still hasn’t left. Steve demands identification. Shirley Bassey sues.

April 1, 2022 - Roy Likes Trains

Gary struggles to come to terms with Laura’s fake confession and tries to convince Kelly to make amends with her dying mother. Tim’s Mum continues to be a barrier to prevent Sally and Tim from having their way with each other and it proves more difficult than anticipated to get rid of her. Phill receives some bad news about his job, which pushes Fiz to insist that the house is sold as quickly as possible to free up that delicious equity. Faye hides her pregnancy from Emma while Emma hides her new relationship from Faye. Summer is throwing herself into her studies, which causes Billy, Todd, and her friends to become concerned that she’s not looking after her health. Nick has exciting, non-chess-related news for Sam when he books him into an Easter Space Camp in Manchester. With Abi’s custody hearing coming up, Imran finds it harder to separate his life and plans with Toyah from his new life with his son. Maria is badass. PC Tinker rides again. Australia is not ready for Jon.

March 25, 2022 - Shame and Syphilis

In breach of his bail conditions, Adam tricks Lydia into meeting him at the mall where he intends to trick her into a confession, but she has other ideas. Steve continues to jeopardize his relationship with his daughter, and her future, by throwing a series of spanners into any plans she has for independence with Jacob. Faye’s allergies to a flea-ridden Peanut temporarily mask a more biological reason for her feeling sick in the mornings. Sally’s home from Gina’s to find Tim randy as all get-out and his mother more determined than ever to play a blocking role in him doing anything about it. In the midst of council elections, Maria learns that Weathy County’s training ground is being moved to a location that may disturb one of Gary’s long-held secrets. Daniel can’t look up. Beth is itchy. Craig uses Fabreeze as a verb.

March 18, 2022 - Bananarama Tribute Act

Imran discovers the truth about Abi’s baby while Toyah continues to do her best to show up at every inopportune moment. Daisy finds it difficult to avoid being the jealous girlfriend while Nicky’s attempts to become a teaching assistant do not go smoothly. Gary is concerned about Laura and her attempts to get in touch with her private investigator so makes her soup and calls on Dr Gaddas. Grace turns up for Glory’s birthday party but her true intentions are predictably more fiscally-driven as she demands more money to keep silent about her last disappearing act. Amy finds it difficult to keep her new relationship a secret from her parents. Maria doesn’t plant a tree. Kirk used to be a bee. Bernie goes for a pee.

March 11, 2022 - Use Your Imagination

Sam is thrilled when he defeats Brian at chess, but Nick has had enough of sitting bored in the cafe and so bans his son from continuing under Roy’s tutelage. It very much looks like Adam will be charged for the damage caused at Lydia’s flat while Sarah decides to cut all of her and Harry’s ties to him. Kelly is running herself ragged as she tries to care for her mum, attend to her school work, and cut Homeless Stu’s hair. Emma continues to hide her relationship with Jon from Craig and Faye. Daniel and Daisy are beginning to show signs of committing to each other when he mentions going on holiday together, until a face from his past threatens to scupper their plans. With Glory’s first birthday approaching, Michael is keen to find Grace to the absolute horror of Ed and Aggie. Kev returns from Bridlington to find Abi back on the muck and from this point, her day is only going to get worse. Gary loses his Insanity DVD. Debbie likens herself to nits. Mr Jacob’s grey Nissan will need a valet.

March 4, 2022 - Monkey Tennis

Chesney reconsiders Linda’s offer and agrees to let Joseph escape his dreary life in Weatherfield in favour of sunnier climes in Portugal. A frantic Abi finds it impossible to get in touch with Kev but hears some devastating news when she drops in to speak with Debbie. Craig and Faye are horrified to discover that Emma is continuing her relationship with the grandson of the old man that Faye killed. Brian and Cathy are finally back from their extended vacation and come to a disagreement when he announces his desire to retire to the coast. Adam moves into Number One while Lydia’s plans to destroy his life from top to bottom gain pace. Jon quotes movies. Toyah eats Imran’s ring. The new terminal at Manchester Airport is tidy.

February 25, 2022 - Bants Central

Relations between Joseph’s two grannies remain strained and they don’t improve when Linda suggests that everyone’s life would be better if he moved to Portugal with her. Daniel becomes suspicious when Max apologizes to him and announces that David will be letting him return to school without the capture of the phantom drink spiker proviso. The pressure of a game of Never Have I Ever plays havoc with Abi’s conscience and she comes clean to Sally about her infidelity. A particularly nasty run-in with Tracy makes Homeless Stu determined to put her in her place as he hatches a plan to spoil her fancy wine-tasting evening. Craig starts his new job packing knickers in the factory with Kirk and is as thrilled about this development as expected. Adam warns Sarah that her continued friendship with Lydia blurs the lines between employer and employee and that she would be right to remain cautious. Kev can’t sing. Yasmeen enjoys a brassier misunderstanding. Beth is fond of a chocolate finger.

February 19, 2022 - Edible Thong

Lydia’s getting on great with her imaginary boyfriend, but her imaginary night of passion with oysters and champagne leaves her in imaginary bad shape the next day. Just as things are threatening to get back to normal with Gemma and Chesney, there’s a whiff of calamari and Joseph’s other granny rolls into town to set the cat amongst the pigeons. Tim’s Mum has signed herself up for a heart health course which takes her mollycoddling to new levels and leaves Sally feeling shut out. Social Worker Lou plans a visit with Toyah and Imran which leads them to believe that their time with Elsie is drawing to a close. Amy heads to the school disco with some Valentine’s Day vodka, but by the time she gets to Night Club, Jacob begins to worry that her drink has been spiked. Daisy’s toothbrush is Daisy’s toothbrush. Simon misremembers last year. Gina loves a pub quiz.

February 11, 2022 - Pipebomb Through Their Catflap

After minor complications, Kelly is easing back into life at the Rose Gold Flat, but then Laura turns up with a claim that threatens to unsettle everyone again. Daniel’s conscience begins to get the better of him as the school’s decision about Max’s future looms. Fallout from Asha’s decision to skip the University Open Day in Glasgow forces her and Nina to assess the effect Nina’s mental state may be having on their relationship. Mystery surrounding Amy’s new boyfriend drives Tracy to distraction as her 18th birthday celebrations result in Steve sitting on an unexpected and uninvited guest. Sally's plans to spoil Tim’s afternoon with his mum backfires as the movie of choice makes him reflect on the importance of blood relations and making up for lost time. Adam is on the receiving end of some strong-armed intimidation tactics, and is quick to assume that the loser of a boundary dispute is behind it all. Gail shoots hoops.
