The question of how long Nick can keep his secret son from Leanne is answered fairly quickly this week and she handles it in a manner befitting of her recent state of mind and mood. Tracy makes an unpopular, if not wholly understandably, decision with regards to the Florists and Amy’s inheritance which leads Steve to make enquiries about mate’s rates on funeral flowers. Tim and Sally’s wedding is done brilliantly with Abi giving them the best gift ever by imprisoning a formally dressed Tim’s Dad in a glass cage. Michael becomes the third character to wonder if he might be able to continue a relationship with Tianna. Hint: No. It’s time for Shona to leave living with massive weirdo Roy and become the biggest weirdo living at number 8 with David and his special lasagne. Johnny becomes suspicious when a cash-strapped Scott gifts a donation to Olivers fund on the same day that Dev’s shop is turned over. This week’s crime spree also spreads to Eileen’s who is visited by an intruder desperate enough to pocket her house keeping, but not so much as to go anywhere near Mary’s vase. Yasmeen has an amazing maniacal laugh. PC Tinker gets further use out of his uniform. Millie the Mediator is in over her head. Maybe Sally’s back garden wasn’t the best venue for a hen do.

Turns out Nicky wasn’t in as much debt as one would have rightfully expected as she’s able to return around 20% of the £5,000 she received back to Daniel, the decision to do so in public proving to be ill-advised as this is seen by Tim’s Dad. Last week, we complained about the lack of progression in the Grace storyline — well, be careful for what you wish for because this week was such a whirlwind, I honestly have no idea where to start. Carla puts aside her own relationship issues to get involved in Sarah and Adam’s resulting in all manner of office supplies flying around Adam’s office, as Adam reacts to Sarah bringing him mail and suggesting they get back together by getting his hole with some random on the law office couch. Paul may or may not be moving furniture for Rita, who turns out to be a life-long Shane McGowan fan. The German doctors have news for Leanne regarding Oliver’s condition, while Nick is elsewhere wrestling with the fact he’s hiding a secret son. Peter’s preference for Monster Flakes is not the issue. Tim’s electric toothbrush is on the charger. Not a single person mentions the sinkhole.

Everyone prepares to sell everything in advance of Oliver’s Experimental German Therapy, while Emma, Tyrone and Fiz get their charitable heads into fund-raising mode. The Daniel and Nicky storyline moves from creepy af to Pretty Woman territory as she seems to fall for his white knight ways. Talking of which, Peter’s obsession with helping out Abi comes back to bite him on the bum thanks to Debbie’s Olympic standard jumping to conclusions. Michael has no idea of the types of faces Grace is pulling behind his back. Billy and his man-bag are on the receiving end of a virtual Eileen Smash. Tim’s Dad has taken to carrying thousands of pounds in cash on his person. Mary and Brian declare World War Three.

Oliver doesn’t seem to be long for this world, which Leanne chooses to ignore, while Nick manages to use this to disguise his emotions about his newly discovered secret son. Billy and his manbag spend the best part of the week tracking down Paul, and then sanctimoniously telling Paul how he should feel about Kel’s demise. Ray Weinstein shows an unnatural interest in buying Number 8, surely not so he can usurp David and tell Gail it’s HIS house. Daniel and Adam try to out-bore each other while Kirk’s detective skills are left somewhat exposed. Abi finds a trouble shared is a trouble doubled as both Kev and Debbie hear about her recent dalliance with the muck. Mary appears to be developing feelings for an undertaker. Dev makes a spreadsheet.

Dev is losing money hand over fist almost as quick as Asha and ITV Corey are forgetting what their characters are supposed to be like. Daniel leaves 26 messages for Nicky, which seems to make her come to the conclusion that she likes his harassing attention. David’s back garden disappears down a hole that unfortunately refuses to take the New Shona with it. Billy has suspicions about the whereabouts of Kel. Nick and Steve bump into an old flame in a hospital car park. The New Shona eats a banana. Sally works the switch.

Not many chuckles in this week’s Corrie. Tim’s Dad’s vendetta against Alya backfires somewhat as both Tim and Faye are growing increasingly suspicious of his behavior. Scott and Johnny continue to dance around the reason they know each other, but we do learn that whatever it was happened 30 years ago and it wasn't a great day for a security guard. When Nicky tells Daniel to stop contacting her, Daniel hears her tell him to contact her frequently, even when Adam approaches him about her occupation. Shona gives us a flash of her bra at Maxine’s bench before prudish Jenny puts the kibosh on anything further. Dev cutting Cathy’s hours at the kebab shop is surprisingly affecting. Sean is down in the dumps. Peter loves a meeting. David takes care of the dishes.

A little bit of a nothing burger on the cobbles this week. Abi manages to pilfer a bottle of morphine out of the hospital and by Peter, but he’s on to her. This immediately causes trouble between Abi and Debbie, because Abi can’t be allowed to be happy for any length of time. Todd’s mysterious re-entry into the Street remains unclear but gives Craig another chance to breach his numerous confidences with his employer to inform Billy and Sean that Todd had previously been found and acquitted. Not even a world famous brunch is enough for Jenny to be impressed by Johnny’s return from France, and Scott is very keen to have a quick word. Daniel sees his creepiness from last week and ups it to double creepiness this week. Paul and Gemma get ready to rhumble. Tim’s Dad hates hoovering.

It’s a Pachelbel's Canon in D kind of week on Corrie. Despite Adam’s concerns, Maria and Gary manage to get to their Bistro wedding where David is keen to see their rings. Faye has Tim’s ear with regards to Tim’s Dad's behavior towards Sally and so Tim and Sally decide to hightail it to Gina’s for some peace. Gemma meets up with Vanessa, sets up an online mammas and babies group, and plans a birthday party for Paul, all the while managing to convince the entire world that she’s depressed. Abi has the best excuse ever for missing the farewell to the twins when a polystyrene engine falls on her clavicle. Todd might be back. Sean needs a pee. Mary falls asleep against an exterior bannister. Daniel is creepy. Again.
